Bladimir Gonzalez Reyes
Bladimir studied at the Nicaraguan National Ballet School for four years, where he danced various Principal, Soloist, and Corps de ballet roles with the Nicaraguan Ballet Company including Carmina Burana, Sleeping Beauty, Snow White, and The Nutcracker. He also belonged to the Gran Ballets Quetzalnahualt, a Professional traditional dance company, with which he traveled and performed across the country for four years. He performed at the 50th Anniversary of the National Theater Rubén Darío and the Zarzuela Luisa Fernanda, created by the foundation, INCANT. In 2017 he participated in classical pas de deux workshops with the Russian Ballet School of Costa Rica, directed by West Chapman (former ABT principal dancer and former director of Alabama Ballet). Bladimir was invited to perform as a guest in The Nutcracker in Costa Rica for two years. In 2019 he won 1st Place in the Nicaraguan National Ballet Competition. He also has trained in contemporary, jazz, traditional Nicaraguan folklore, and urban dance. He has won prizes and scholarships to study with European ballet teachers in various competitions such as Active Dance, European in Dancer Grand Prix, All Dance World and Nicaragua, Competition, National Ballet of Nicaragua and Sports City of Dance. In 2022 he guested in “Carmen” of the Ballet Company of El Salvador. He has also participated in the International Ballet Gala in Nicaragua, where he danced the Nutcracker Prince in the Nutcracker with Aldoca Ballet Studio. His ballet teachers have been: Beatriz Martínez (Cuba), Ervin Vallecillo (Nicaragua), Anabell Zamora (Nicaragua), Pedro Martinez (Cuba), Elving Vanegas (Nicaragua), and others. He is so thrilled to be dancing in the USA with Virginia National Ballet for the 2022-23 Season!
