Take your contemporary dance skills to the next level. This class is designed for dancers with some prior experience in contemporary. You’ll build on the basics, improving technical skills like control, flexibility, and musicality through progressively challenging combinations. Expect to explore floor work, inversions, and rhythmic play as you expand your movement vocabulary. Class focuses on developing your individual artistry by fusing foundational techniques with creative expression and improvisation. Dancers will gain confidence in foundational contemporary principles like weight shifts, fall and recovery, and using momentum. Leave class feeling more dynamic, strong, and free in your contemporary dance abilities.  Thursdays 7:30-8:30

Contemporary 7:

This class builds on foundational techniques, fusing elements of ballet, modern, jazz, and improvisation. Dancers will explore dynamic movements that emphasize breath, weight shifting, and full-bodied expressions. Refine your skills through challenging combinations that develop spatial awareness, musicality, and creative interpretation. Work on expanding your movement vocabulary through floor work and partner exercises that break conventions. Open to dancers with previous contemporary experience looking to take their skills to new heights.  Wednesdays 5:30-6:30

Unleash your creativity in this advanced contemporary dance class. Contemporary dance fuses ballet, modern, and free-flowing movements into a boundary-pushing art form. Experienced dancers will delve into challenging sequences that emphasize fluidity, weight shifts, and unique partnering. Develop a strong technical base while exploring emotional expression through unconventional floor work and improvisation. Push your limits and discover your authentic movement vocabulary in this dynamic class.  Tuesdays 6:30-7:30 pm
