Kaiya Black

Kaiya Black grew up in Boca Raton, Florida, and started her training at Florida Dance Conservatory under the direction of Tina Martin and Heather Lescaille. She continued her training with L&M Ballet’s Luis Fuentes and Maria Pellejero and Ft. Lauderdale Youth Ballet’s German Dager before joining the Orlando Ballet School. In addition, she had the privilege to work with ballet master and former NYCB and ABT principal dancer, John Prinz. Kaiya has attended prestigious summer intensives over the years at American Ballet Theater, Washington Ballet, Philadelphia Ballet, Pittsburgh Ballet Theater, Miami City Ballet, and
Complexions Contemporary Ballet.  Some of Kaiya’s favorite roles include Sugar Plum Fairy and Flower Corps from “The  Nutcracker”, Spring Fairy from “Cinderella”, Kaa the Snake from Toni Pimble’s “The Jungle
Book”, the Spring Waters Pas de Deux, and George Balanchine’s “Serenade”.  Aside from ballet, Kaiya is currently pursuing her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration at the University of Florida.
Kaiya is excited to be joining VNB for the 21-22 season!
